Departments of Security provides both full-time and part-time education:

  • Bachelor’s program – Risk Management
  • Follow-up master’s program Security – specialization Risk Engineering

Characteristics of the bachelor’s program:

Risk Management

Risks are part of everyday life. Some push us forward, while others can have serious consequences. How can we recognize and manage them? You will learn this in the Risk Management program. It combines 75% security and 25% economic disciplines, turning you into an expert who can not only assess risks, but also evaluate their economic impact.

The program offers two specializations:

  • Risk Management in Public Administration
  • Operational Safety

Students will encounter subjects such as risk management, crisis management, crisis economics, civil protection, security policy, and geographic information systems.

Where you can find employment after graduation:

 

Graduates find employment in state administration, integrated rescue system departments, companies, and critical infrastructure entities. They also find employment as experts in territorial risk assessment or safety specialists in the field of occupational health and safety.

Master’s Degree Program

Study Program: Society Security

Specialization: Risk Engineering

Program Description:

Today, security means more than just protecting health or data. It is the ability to think systematically—to understand the interconnection of all risks, to analyze them, and to manage them in a broader context. The Society Security program offers students precisely this perspective. They will learn to compare approaches to security management in the Czech Republic and abroad, evaluate their strengths and weaknesses, and propose their own solutions.

Within the Risk Engineering specialization, students will deepen their knowledge from their bachelor’s studies and learn advanced methods of risk management and analysis.
