At our department, we prepare students so that they can manage various risk situations and be able to understand problems from various areas. Analytical and critical thinking is the absolute foundation of a good manager. That is why we teach crisis management across the faculty. Students will try to work with specialized programs and tools for risk analysis, modeling, and resolution of crisis and emergencies, but also have the opportunity to look into the field of logistics processes within the logistics laboratory. In the follow-up study, they will also meet software for analysis and creation of processes, in the future, we are preparing a cybersecurity laboratory and a psychology laboratory. In our opinion, versatility is simply the key to successful application in practice.
Logistics laboratory
Logistics is an area that we have been paying more and more attention lately. It currently has Witness software for modeling, simulation, and optimization of logistics processes. You will also find the PTV VISION program with identical functions for the logistics of cities and municipalities. The possibility of using the software in practice was demonstrated, for example, by a bachelor’s thesis entitled “Analysis of the traffic load of the section of road II / 497 in Uherské Hradiště”, for which our student received the award of the mayor of Uherské Hradiště.
In the laboratory, you will also find the latest CAD system for design automation with modules focused on building statics or energy intensity of production. Students of the follow-up master’s study meet here with tools to support process mapping in companies.
