Science and research

Teaching at the university is based on the solid foundations of the latest knowledge gained through the scientific and research activities of academic staff. Without active involvement in research, it would be impossible to keep pace with rapidly developing trends in the field of societal security.

The staff of the Institute of Society Security therefore engage in long-term research on a wide range of topics related to risk assessment, civil protection, crisis management, security policy, and critical infrastructure resilience.  They publish the results of their work in professional journals, lecture at international conferences, and participate in national and international research projects.

The Institute also offers external partners the opportunity to collaborate in the form of contract research, expert opinions, and consulting activities.
