Faculty participated in research on risk management in small and medium-sized enterprises
The Faculty of Logistics and Crisis Management participated in the GAAA – Grant Agency of the Academic Alliance project entitled Project Risk Management in the Conditions of Small and Medium Enterprises in the Czech Republic (GA/16/2019). The project ran from 2019-2021 under the leadership of Ing. Pavel Taraba, Ph.D., and focused on the analysis of the level of risk management in Czech small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Project objectives
The main objective was to assess the state of risk management in SMEs, compare it with similar research carried out both domestically and abroad and propose recommendations for its improvement. The research focused on key factors affecting effective risk management, such as prevention strategies, threat identification, response to crisis situations and the use of modern risk management tools.
Main project outputs
– Analysis of the current state of risk management in SMEs and identification of key issues.
– Comparison of the obtained data with foreign research, which allowed to identify differences and areas for improvement.
– Proposal of recommendations for increasing the level of risk management in Czech SMEs, including implementation of modern methods and tools.
– Increase awareness of the importance of risk management in SMEs, which often face uncertainties and instabilities in the business environment.
The project contributed to strengthening the professional discourse on risk management in the business sector and provided practical recommendations for improving its level. The results can serve as a guide for SMEs wishing to manage risks more effectively and increase their competitiveness.
