Erasmus+ programme
In the framework of the Erasmus+ program, you can leave for a study stay.
You can choose from a wide range of destinations. Indeed, the popular Erasmus programme which opens up the gateway to Europe offers very much to the students of our faculty. Of those ideal for our disciplines, you may choose to go to Portugal, Finland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Hungary, Poland or Slovakia. The options are always broadening.
What are the conditions of the study stay?
- Being registered as a student of a regular degree course at the TBU for the duration of the stay abroad.
- Having completed at least the 1st year of Bachelor’s degree course.
- Submitting an application to the International Department FLCM TBU in a timely manner.
- Completing the selection procedure.
When and how is the selection procedure conducted?
The selection procedure takes place in January and is always intended for outbound mobility taking place in the next academic year. Additional selection procedure may then be conducted in October in the event that not all positions have been filled.
In the selection procedure, the student must demonstrate professional and character eligibility for the stay at a partner institution. Those applying for mobility to countries other than the Slovak Republic must demonstrate a good knowledge of the foreign languages of instruction at the respective foreign partner institutions. Also, the students’ motivation for the stay is assessed.
What are the rules of the stay?
- The minimum length of the study stay abroad is 3 months.
- The student may not interrupt or terminate their studies at the TBU before or during their stay abroad.
- A student may travel repeatedly, in each stage of their studies (i.e. at the Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral levels), at a maximum total of 12 months for each respective degree of study.
- Previous mobility at the respective stage of study adds up.
How much money will I receive from the Erasmus grant?
- The grant will be paid out on the basis of a Financial Agreement according to standard amounts and to the length of stay abroad. It is a contribution for the increased living costs related to the stay abroad
- The amount of the grants vary according to the economies of individual countries, a table listing can be found here.
- Students from disadvantaged socio-economic environments may ask for an increase in the rates. More information here.

In the framework of the Erasmus+ program, you can travel to take work internships.
Unlike a study stay, the internship does not prerequisite a bilateral agreement. The internships is ensured by the domestic academic institution or by its designated intermediary organization. The internship needs to be agreed between the issuing tertiary schooling institution, the intermediary organization, the receiving enterprise and the student first (it is not necessary to conclude a contract). It is up to you.
What are the conditions of the internship stay abroad?
- Being registered as a student of a regular degree course at the TBU for the duration of the stay abroad.
- Having completed at least the 1st year of Bachelor’s degree course.
- Submitting an applicaton to the International Department of the FLCM, TBU in a timely manner.
- Completing the selection procedure.
What are the rules?

- The student may not interrupt or terminate their studies at the TBU before or during their stay abroad.
- A student may travel repeatedly, in each stage of their studies (i.e. at the Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral levels), at a maximum total of 12 months for each respective degree of study.
- Previous mobility at the respective stage of study adds up.

- The student shall obtain a scholarship for up to 3 months of the internship. The student may apply for further financing of the stay by the faculty.

If Europe is small for you, you can go even further with Freemover. For example Japan has been the favourite lately, along with Brazil, Taiwan and South Korea. Three students of our faculty have also recently had a taste of studying in the Philippines.
