He currently holds the position of Director of the Department of Civil Protection, Faculty of Logistics and Crisis Management, Tomas Bata University in Zlín.
Graduate of VAAZ Brno, a field of chemical engineering (1977), in 1983-88 external scientific education at VAAZ Brno field of study “Operational and combat use of types of troops, special technical and rear security”, in 1992 habilitation procedure in the field of “Weapons and protection against them “at VVŠ PV in Vyškov, in 2004 the procedure for appointment as a professor in the field of” Protection of troops and population “at VVŠ PV in Vyškov.
Member of a number of scientific, professional, and editorial boards, member of the working group on education “Safety fields” and member of the evaluation committee of the National Accreditation Office for “Safety”.
The principal investigator or co-investigator of more than two dozen projects, especially defense research and research plans for the development of the organization, author of more than two hundred publications in professional journals, papers at domestic and foreign conferences in the field of chemical control of military compounds, decontamination, and liquidation decontamination. In recent years, he has addressed the issue of population protection and crisis management.
