March 11, 2024

Students of the Faculty of Logistics and Crisis Management have a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the work and responsibilities of customs officers during the event “Days with the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic.” This two-day event will take place on April 8–9, 2024, at the Faculty of Logistics and Crisis Management in Uherské Hradiště.

The first day of the event will focus on theoretical aspects, introducing students to the duties and responsibilities of the Customs Administration. Representatives will present various departments and their activities, including customs inspections, investigations, and monitoring.

The second day will be dedicated to practical demonstrations, allowing students to experience the work of customs officers firsthand. One of the most exciting demonstrations will showcase the work of a K9 handler and their trained canine partner, who play a key role in customs inspections.

Another highlight will be a presentation of a high-capacity X-ray scanner, used for inspecting personal and cargo vehicles as well as shipping containers.

Throughout the event, students will gain valuable insights into the daily operations of customs officers and understand their crucial role in ensuring national security and protection. The “Days with the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic” will provide students with a unique glimpse into the world of customs security, enriching their knowledge and practical experience.
