Radicalisation in the European Union and the Czech Republic
3. March 2025The Faculty of Logistics and Crisis Management cordially invites you to the expert lecture of Prof. JUDr. PhDr. Miroslav Mareš, Ph.D., which will take place on 18 March 2025 from 10.00 to11.40 on H1-184.03.
Professor Mareš is a member of the Research Committee of the EU Knowledge Hub on Prevention of Radicalisation and has many years of experience in the field of radicalisation prevention. From 2013 to 2024, he served in various positions within the European Radicalisation Awareness Network and was involved in the CZ.RAN platform.
During the lecture we will discuss the concept of radicalisation in the European Union as well as approaches to countering it in relation to terrorism and extremism. Historical and current EU priorities in this area will be explained using concrete examples. Special attention will also be paid to counter-radicalisation practices in the Czech Republic.
The lecture is intended for students, academics and professionals interested in security policy and prevention of radicalisation.
