We continue our cooperation with the Technical University in Košice, Faculty of Mining, Ecology, Management and Geotechnology

Our faculty actively develops cooperation in education, research and training. Today, a contract on mutual cooperation was signed with the Technical University of Košice, Faculty of Mining, Ecology, Management and Geotechnology.

The two faculties commit themselves to promoting academic mobility through exchanges and internships for students, academics and researchers. Joint activities will also include the organisation of lectures, seminars and expert consultations, joint scientific research, exchange of expertise, joint scientific publications and study materials including supplementary literature. The organisation of expert conferences and workshops is also envisaged.

At the same time, we are preparing cooperation with the Training Centre HaZZ Lešt’, which is one of the top facilities for training rescue workers and experts in the field of crisis management. The centre is used to train members of the Fire and Rescue Corps, rescuers and other components of the integrated rescue system. It offers realistic conditions for training interventions – from fire fighting in confined spaces, to traffic accidents, to working with hazardous substances or rescuing people from heights and depths.

During the joint meeting we discussed the possibilities of involving our students in training in the form of excursions, internships and practical training.

The aim of the cooperation is to provide students with real field experience that will help them in their future employment in the field of crisis management and rescue. With state-of-the-art equipment and experienced instructors, they will have the opportunity to learn practical skills that cannot be fully acquired in a classroom environment alone.

We are convinced that these forms of cooperation will contribute significantly to the professional growth of our students and to a better preparation for their careers.
