Rector’s Day of Sport 2025 at FLCM

On 23 April 2025, the traditional Rector’s Day of Sport took place, which once again brought a great opportunity for students and employees at Tomas Bata University to spend an active day outside the classroom.

Our Faculty of Logistics and Crisis Management participated this year with three attractive activities – a power triathlon, a volleyball tournament and hiking. And we have to say: it was a really successful day full of sport, great party atmosphere and well-being.

Strength, determination and personal bests
The power triathlon attracted not only strong individuals but also spectators who came to support their classmates and colleagues. There were three disciplines competed in – squat, bench press and deadlift. The participants performed admirably and the atmosphere in the room was energized. It was not only about the result, but above all about surpassing oneself and showing that strength is not only about muscles, but also about determination and perseverance.

Volleyball: team spirit in action

The Rector’s Day also included a volleyball tournament where there was healthy competition, laughter and tension until the last smash. The tournament involved several teams made up of students and staff, and it was a joy to watch everyone enjoying the game. Volleyball proved once again that it is the ideal combination of sport and teamwork – and this is exactly what was reflected in the excellent mood throughout the day.

Hiking: peace, nature and new experiences

The third option for participants was hiking, which offered a quieter but equally rewarding form of exercise. The group set off on a route in the vicinity of Uherské Hradiště, where they enjoyed not only the beautiful weather but also the company of other nature and healthy lifestyle enthusiasts. The trip was full of views, interesting stops and above all a friendly atmosphere.

The overall impression? One big “SUPER”!

The Rector’s Day of Sport at FLKŘ was simply great. All three activities had high participation and positive feedback. Whether you chose strength, ball or hiking shoes, the main thing was to move, relax and be part of a great event that once again brought our faculty community together. Thank you to everyone who participated – and we look forward to next year’s event!
