Ing. Jakub Rak, Ph.D. obtained an engineering degree in Security Technology, Systems, and Management at the Faculty of Applied Informatics, Tomas Bata University in Zlín in 2009. Ph.D. obtained in the field of Engineering Informatics at the same university in 2017 under the guidance of prof. Ing. Dušan Vičar, CSc. In 2011 Ing. Jakub Rak, Ph.D. completed an internship abroad at the University of Vigo and in 2012 and 2015 at the University of the Peloponnese. Since 2013, has been working as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Logistics and Crisis Management, Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Institute of Population Protection, where teaches courses in applied informatics and its applications in security and population protection. His research interests include the use of information technology in the processes of population protection, the application of specialized software tools, and security technology.
