Invitation to an inspiring lecture: The Forest of Tomorrow

What does the future hold for wildlife in Africa? Do we have the opportunity to protect it? And do we actually want to save wilderness? These and other fascinating questions will be answered by researcher, photographer and adventurer Tom Jůnek in his lecture The Forest of Tomorrow, which will take place on 27 March at 12:00.

Tom Jůnek will take you on an incredible journey into the Congo’s forests and Africa’s vast national parks. He will introduce you to the realities of wildlife conservation, their struggle to survive in an environment where human expansion seems unstoppable. It will also introduce you to the lives of those who have chosen to protect nature despite often adverse conditions.

Tom Jůnek studied animal behaviour at the Faculty of Science of Charles University and now works at the Faculty of Environment of the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague. During his many years of scientific and photographic work he has travelled to over 60 countries and his main mission is to protect the last individuals of endangered species.

The lecture is not only an engaging narrative full of breathtaking experiences and unique photographs, but also an important reflection on the role we play in wildlife conservation.

Be inspired and come hear stories from the most remote corners of the world!
