Entrepreneurship camp helps on the road to success
21. March 2025Helping young people on their journey to adult life is important. The Regional Entrepreneurship Camp (REC) gives young people from children’s homes, shelters and foster families the chance to set a solid foundation for their future, learn to think entrepreneurially and find their place in society.
After a successful debut, this year the camp will take place for the second time, this time in the form of two long weekends. Over the course of six months, fifteen participants meet online and in person for workshops and discussions where they create their personal career models with the support of experts.
Experienced mentors, regional entrepreneurs and other professionals in their field show participants what it means to be a good employee, how to become an expert in their field and what they need to know if they want to start a business.
The Faculty of Logistics and Crisis Management of Tomas Bata University in Zlín has become a proud partner of this great project. The camp, which will take place in March and April 2025, has received the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty, prof. Ing. Zuzana Tučková, Ph.D., who emphasized the importance of supporting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The camp, organized by the 4SYOU association and professionally sponsored by the ZET Foundation of Professor Milan Zelený, provides young people with valuable knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship, financial literacy and personal development. It draws inspiration from the Bata principles of management, which have a strong tradition in the Zlín Region.
“Supporting young people in their personal and professional growth is extremely important, especially if they come from disadvantaged backgrounds. The Faculty of Logistics and Crisis Management is happy to support projects that help them gain practical skills and the courage to do business,” said the Dean of the Faculty, prof. Ing. Zuzana Tučková, Ph.D.
The project takes place in cooperation with the Faculty of Management and Economics of the University of Technology, the Zlín Region and local companies that play a crucial role in the development of the regional economy. It is also under the auspices of the Governor of the Zlín Region Radim Holiš.
